Description
Detailed explanation on how the rescheduling strategy works. Comes with an actual example.
Template PENDING APPROVAL
For the rescheduling strategy, Holly takes up to 5 numbers and searches for free slots, those 5 numbers of working days ahead from the original appointment. This strategy is "onwards adaptive", meaning that she offers an appointment option (if there is any) for each of those numbers.
For example, if the strategy is set at 2, 2, 5, 10, 15, and the original appointment was on Thursday, April 6th:
– Holly searches for slots 2 of the doctor's working days ahead from the original Appointment date. Supposing said doctor doesn't work on weekends, Holly's first appointment offer will be on Monday, April 10th
– Holly then searches again for slots 2 days ahead, and then offers an appointment on Monday, April 10th, at a different time than the first one.
– Holly does the same for 5, 10 and 15 working days ahead, getting appointment options on Thursday, April 13th, Thursday, April 20th and Thursday, April 27th.
Please keep in mind that if Holly does not find a free slot for a given day, she will also look a bit further on the days after it to check if there's any.
