For the rescheduling strategy, Holly takes up to 5 numbers and searches for free slots, representing the # of days out from the original appointment. This strategy is "onwards adaptive", meaning that she offers an appointment option (if there is any) for each number in her offerings text message.
For example, if the strategy is set at 2, 2, 5, 10, 15, and the original appointment was on Thursday, April 6th:
– Holly searches for slots 2 business days ahead for from the original Appointment date. Supposing the doctor doesn't work on weekends, Holly's first appointment offer will be on Monday, April 10th
– Holly then searches for slots 2 days ahead, and offers an appointment on Monday, April 10th, at a different time than the first one.
– Holly does the same for 5, 10 and 15 working days ahead, giving appointment options on Thursday, April 13th, Thursday, April 20th and Thursday, April 27th.
Please keep in mind that if Holly does not find a free slot for a given day, she will also look a bit further on the days after it to check if there's any.
If your practice is extremely busy, Holly might struggle to find slots 2, even 7 days out. We can customize this strategy to match the availability per doctor.
